Recently, Gansert addressed his ex-wife’s past restraining order saying that it doesn’t represent who he is.
While Gansert is vying for the heart of Joan Vassos in The Golden Bachelorette a temporary protective order against him that his former wife filed in 2021 has resurfaced.
Gansert then took Instagram on October 10 and cleared the air. His ex-wife Heidi filed for a temporary restraining order against him on October 12, 2021, after Gansert allegedly tried to threaten him physically.
According to the Emergency motion obtained by PEOPLE, Gansert tried to reconcile but flipped to anger. He later physically tried to threaten Heidi and even pointed his finger like a gun towards her.
He apparently placed something under Heidi’s tire after running into her at the gym. Heidi even told her sister that he was unstable and he took 10 pills.
However, Heidi voluntarily dismissed the request for a protective order and they have now asked the court to seal her application for the protective order to maintain privacy for their family.
Gansert revealed this through his Instagram post saying that it was an unfortunate situation that occurred during an incredibly stressful time for him and his ex-wife.
While Gansert addressed the situation that took place back in 2021, he said that he was married for 34 years and their four children are his greatest accomplishment.
Gansert said that his divorce was extremely difficult for him which led him to a very low point in his life. He eventually acted in a way that does not represent who he is.
At the end of his statement, Gansert expressed his gratitude to The Golden Bachelorette, Bachelor Nation, and his family who have been exceptionally supportive during the most difficult times of his life.
